Pakistan announces first public holiday of 2026 - check date
ISLAMABAD: The federal government has announced the schedule of public holidays for the year 2026. The first public holiday of the year will be observed in February.
According to the official list, February 5, 2026, will be a public holiday on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day. This day is observed every year to show Pakistan’s full support for the people of Kashmir and their right to self-determination under United Nations resolutions.

On this day, rallies and solidarity walks are held across Pakistan and in Azad Kashmir. In Islamabad, a main rally takes place on Constitution Avenue.
