Pakistan Air Chief Meets Saudi Defence Leadership to Strengthen Military Ties
Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, NI (M), HJ, Chief of Air Staff of the Pakistan Air Force, visited the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and held official meetings with senior Saudi defence leaders. He met HRH Lieutenant General Turki bin Bander bin Abdulaziz, Commander of the Royal Saudi Air Force, and General Fayiadh bin Hameed Al-Rowaily, Chief of the General Staff of Saudi Arabia.
Upon arrival, the Air Chief was welcomed with a Guard of Honour by the Royal Saudi Air Force. During the meetings, both sides discussed bilateral defence cooperation, regional security, and future areas of collaboration. They expressed satisfaction with current engagement and agreed to expand cooperation through joint training, operational collaboration, and exchange of expertise.
The Air Chief highlighted the historic and fraternal ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. He emphasized Pakistan Air Force’s transformation into a robust Multi Domain Force, integrating space, cyber, electronic warfare, and artificial intelligence capabilities. He also reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening military-to-military relations through bilateral and multilateral exercises.
The Saudi defence leadership praised the professionalism, combat readiness, and operational excellence of Pakistan Air Force. They showed strong interest in enhanced joint training, particularly in Multi Domain Operations, and appreciated Pakistan’s role in promoting regional peace and stability.
The visit reflects the strong strategic partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, showcasing the countries’ shared commitment to defence cooperation and aviation sector development.
