Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Emphasizes IT Education and Training for Youth
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif stated that “providing modern education and training in the IT sector to the youth is among the government’s top priorities.”
The Prime Minister made these remarks during a meeting with the parents of the late IT expert Irfa Kareem and the CEO of the Irfa Kareem Foundation. During the meeting, he praised Irfa Kareem for her invaluable contributions to the IT field and her efforts in bringing international recognition to Pakistan.
Shehbaz Sharif said, “In recognition of Irfa Kareem’s services, the IT Tower in Lahore has been named after her, serving as an inspiration and a source of motivation for young people.”
He added that the government is working tirelessly to establish Pakistan as a regional hub for IT, while also promoting entrepreneurship among the youth in the sector. To support this initiative, the government is distributing laptops to talented students, ensuring they remain aligned with modern technological advancements.
The Prime Minister also welcomed the establishment of the Irfa Kareem Foundation as a positive step toward nurturing the skills and potential of young IT professionals.
On this occasion, the parents of Irfa Kareem appreciated the government’s efforts to advance the IT sector and expressed their commitment to continue guiding and training young talent through the foundation in the future.
