ITCN Asia 2026 Opens in Pakistan, Marks New Era of Digital Growth and Innovation

The 27th edition of ITCN Asia 2026 was inaugurated with grandeur, signaling a new era of digital growth, technological innovation, and export opportunities in Pakistan. The event was officially opened by Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication, Shiza Fatima Khawaja.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, the IT Minister said, “Pakistan’s IT sector is rapidly gaining global recognition due to its growing strength and capabilities.” She further acknowledged the role of the Sindh Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) in promoting local and foreign investment and easing business operations within the technology sector.

A highlight of ITCN Asia 2026 was the Global CISO Summit, chaired by Dr. Ardal Ozkaya, President CISO, and advisor Said Abdul Qadir. The summit brought together over 500 senior tech and cybersecurity leaders from more than 50 countries, along with 100 overseas Pakistani executives. Experts emphasized that integrating global best practices with local expertise has further strengthened Pakistan’s cybersecurity standing.

During the exhibition, a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between China’s IBI International Group and E-Commerce Gateway Pakistan, aiming to boost technology adoption, investment, trade expansion, and job creation in Pakistan.

Group Director of E-Commerce Gateway, Umair Nizam, said, “ITCN Asia has become a strategic national platform for digital growth, investment, and international collaboration.” He added that the diversity, scale, and global participation in the event reflect the growing confidence in Pakistan’s IT sector.

Day 1 concluded on a high note, underscoring innovation, global partnerships, and a robust IT technology drive, setting the stage for further advancements in Pakistan’s digital landscape.
