The valima ceremony of Junaid Safdar, son of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and grandson of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif, is being held at the Jati Umra estate near Lahore. The event marks the formal wedding reception of Junaid Safdar and his wife, Shanze Ali Rohail.
Junaid Safdar arrived at the ceremony wearing a grey sherwani, while Shanze Ali Rohail appeared in an elegant white bridal outfit. The couple made a graceful entrance together, holding hands, drawing attention from attendees.
Approximately 800 guests were invited to the valima, making it a large and high-profile gathering. A variety of dishes were served to guests, including soup, chicken tempura, chicken entrées, Amritsari mutton pulao, fish from Bashir Daral Mahi, and a sweet dessert.
Several prominent political figures attended the ceremony, including Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, former Punjab chief minister Hamza Shehbaz, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, and senior PML-N leaders. National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Punjab Assembly Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan, and numerous federal and provincial ministers, advisers, and special assistants were also present.
