Ramadan 2026 dates in Pakistan confirmed – check here

The moon of Shaban has been sighted across Pakistan, officially marking January 21 as the first day of the Islamic month. People are now looking forward to knowing when Ramadan 2026 will begin.

Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar. It is a holy month for Muslims, observed with fasting, prayer, and spiritual reflection.

During Ramadan, Muslims fast from dawn to sunset, avoiding food, drink, and other worldly desires. The month is also a time for charity, self-discipline, and strengthening faith. Ramadan ends with Eidul Fitr, a festival of communal prayers, feasts, and celebration.

Ramadan 2026 Start Date in Pakistan

If Shaban lasts 29 days, the first day of Ramadan will be February 19, 2026. If it lasts 30 days, Ramadan will begin on February 20, 2026.

The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will give the final confirmation of Ramadan’s start after reviewing moon sightings at the end of Shaban.

Eidul Fitr Holidays

The federal government has released the public holiday calendar for 2026.

  • The first holiday of the year is Kashmir Day on February 5.

  • Eidul Fitr holidays are scheduled for March 21, 22, and 23, depending on the moon sighting.

Muslims across Pakistan are now preparing for the holy month of Ramadan, a time of devotion, reflection, and celebration.
