Trump Suggests ‘Board of Peace’ Could One Day Replace United Nations
US President Donald Trump has said that in the future it is possible that the “Board of Peace” could replace the United Nations, but for now he wants the global organization to continue its work.
According to a foreign news agency report, in response to a question from journalists, the US President said that he is the biggest supporter of the capabilities of the United Nations, but the truth is that the United Nations has never been able to function to its full potential.
Donald Trump said that although the United Nations has great potential to establish peace in the world, in practice the organization has failed to fulfill its responsibilities.
On the other hand, UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has accepted US President Donald Trump’s invitation to join the Board of Peace.
Emirati Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed said that the decision to join the Peace Board reflects the importance of fully implementing President Trump’s 20-point peace plan for Gaza, which is crucial for achieving the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
The news agency says that according to the board’s charter, the membership period of member countries will be a maximum of 3 years, the renewal of which will be subject to the approval of the chairman.
It should be noted that the United States is asking various world leaders to become part of this board headed by Trump, for which a membership fee of one billion dollars has been set.
