Murree Expressway N75 shut for all vehicles due to heavy snowfall
ISLAMABAD: Authorities have temporarily closed the Murree Expressway for traffic because of heavy snowfall to prevent accidents and ensure public safety.
The National Highways and Motorway Police said that all vehicles are stopped from entering the expressway from Phagran Toll Plaza toward Murree as a precaution. Officials have asked the public to avoid unnecessary travel until weather and road conditions improve.
The closure aims to prevent accidents and reduce traffic congestion caused by the ongoing snow. Reports show that Murree has received nearly 1.5 feet of snow, while the Galyat region recorded 2 feet.
With many visitors heading to Murree, local authorities are working hard to manage traffic and keep people safe. The District Police Officer (DPO) has been on the ground, supervising traffic control and emergency response teams.
