People will be able to use the Metro Bus, Orange Line Train, and Green Line Bus without paying any fare.
The decision was taken during a special meeting chaired by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, where final arrangements for Basant were reviewed.
Free Travel on Metro, Orange Line and Green Line
Officials said that all major transport systems in Lahore will remain free of cost for the public.
The aim is to reduce traffic pressure and allow families to move safely across the city during the festival.
The free transport includes:
Metro Bus Service
Orange Line Metro Train
Green Line Bus Route
Authorities believe this step will also help control congestion in busy areas.

These wires are meant to protect riders from sharp and dangerous kite strings, which have caused serious injuries in the past.
Motorcycles without safety rods or wires will not be allowed to enter sensitive areas marked as red zones.
Strict Punishment for Illegal Kite Flying
Maryam Nawaz warned that the use of illegal kite strings will lead to strict legal action.
She said anyone found using banned strings could face:
Up to five years in jail
Heavy fines
Law enforcement agencies have been ordered to take immediate action against violators.
Control Rooms and Emergency Services Activated
To ensure public safety, the government has set up two special control rooms in Lahore.
