Father Kills Daughter and Son-in-Law in Karachi Over Honor

A tragic incident of honor killing was reported in Karachi’s Bhains Colony area. A father allegedly shot and killed his daughter and her husband. The couple had married by choice against the family’s wishes.

According to police, the incident took place when the accused opened fire on the couple. Both victims died on the spot due to gunshot injuries.

Police said that another citizen was also injured during the shooting. The injured person was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. His condition is reported to be stable.

Couple Had Recently Married by Choice

Initial investigations revealed that the couple had married about one month ago. After their marriage, they moved to Karachi. Both victims belonged to Thatta district.

Police officials stated that the girl’s father was unhappy with the marriage. He had strongly opposed the relationship from the beginning.

Police Launch Search Operation for Accused

After the incident, police cordoned off the area. Evidence was collected from the crime scene. The bodies were sent to the hospital for legal formalities.

A search operation has been launched to arrest the accused. Police teams are conducting raids at different locations.

Sindh IG Takes Notice of the Incident

Inspector General of Police Sindh, Javed Alam Odho, took notice of the double murder. He asked police authorities to submit a detailed report.

The IG said that honor killings are serious crimes. He added that such acts will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
