Armed forces fully prepared to safeguard country’s sovereignty: CDF

COAS Field Marshal Asim Munir Visits Bahawalpur Garrison, Reviews Combat Readiness
Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, visited Bahawalpur Garrison. During the visit, he was briefed on operational, training, and administrative matters of the Corps.
Special focus was given to preparations for modern and multi-domain warfare. Senior military commanders provided a detailed overview of current readiness and future plans.
COAS Witnesses Exercise “Steadfast Resolve”
The Army Chief observed a high-intensity field exercise named “Steadfast Resolve” at Khairpur Tamewali (KPT). The exercise showcased advanced battlefield capabilities.
Modern technologies were fully integrated during the drills. These included unmanned aerial systems, advanced surveillance tools, electronic warfare assets, and modern command-and-control systems.
The exercise reflected the Pakistan Armed Forces’ growing focus on technology-based and multi-domain military operations.
Praise for Troops’ Morale and Professionalism
While addressing the troops, Field Marshal Asim Munir praised their high morale and professional skills. He expressed confidence in their operational preparedness.
He reaffirmed that the Pakistan Armed Forces remain fully capable of defending the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity against all threats. He stressed the importance of maintaining constant readiness to meet future battlefield and security challenges.
Focus on Technology and Future Warfare
The COAS highlighted that the character of warfare is changing rapidly. Technological advancements are reshaping how wars are fought.
He said that future conflicts will rely more on technological manoeuvres than physical ones. This shift requires a strong mental transformation at all levels of command.
He added that the Pakistan Armed Forces are rapidly adopting new technologies. Innovation, indigenisation, and adaptability remain key priorities in this transformation process.
Inauguration of ROHI eSkills Learning Hub and APS Campus
Earlier, the Army Chief inaugurated the ROHI eSkills Learning Hub (STP). The initiative aims to promote digital skills and learning opportunities.
The facility will benefit students from Southern Punjab and other parts of the country.
He also inaugurated the APS Abbasia Campus, reaffirming the Pakistan Army’s commitment to quality education and character building.
Visit to EME Regional Workshop
Later, the COAS visited the EME Regional Workshop in Bahawalpur. He was briefed on maintenance systems for modern military platforms.
Officials explained how advanced technologies, indigenisation, and combat support measures are being used to sustain operational capability.
Tribute to Martyrs
Upon arrival at Bahawalpur Garrison, the COAS was received by the Commander Bahawalpur Corps.
He laid a floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada and offered Fateha. He paid tribute to the sacrifices of the martyrs who laid down their lives for the nation.
