Field Marshal Asim Munir Hosts Turkish Military Chief, Discuss Regional Security

General Selcuk Bayraktaroğlu, Chief of the Turkish General Staff, visited General Headquarters (GHQ) today to meet with Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Field Marshal Asim Syed Asim Munir.

Upon his arrival at GHQ, General Selcuk was presented with a guard of honor by a smartly turned-out contingent of the Pakistan Armed Forces. During their high-level meeting, both dignitaries discussed the promotion of Pakistan-Turkey defense and military cooperation, alongside a detailed exchange on the regional and global security situation.

The two leaders explored further opportunities to strengthen bilateral military ties and expressed satisfaction with the current trajectory of Pakistan-Turkey relations. Both sides agreed on the necessity of maintaining close coordination and enhancing defense collaboration to meet shared security challenges.
