How to transfer vehicle in Punjab online with Pak-ID App
Punjab Excise has taken a big digital step by linking its vehicle transfer system with NADRA’s Pak-ID app. Now, people can transfer vehicle ownership online using their mobile phones. There is no need to visit Excise offices or e-Sahulat centers anymore.
Both the buyer and seller can complete biometric verification at home. They only need a smartphone with a good camera and internet. Fingerprints can be scanned through the phone, and if fingerprints do not work, facial recognition is also available.
This service is very helpful for overseas Pakistanis. They can verify vehicle transfers from abroad using their NICOP. There is no need to visit Pakistani embassies or submit affidavits, which saves time and money.
Facial recognition was launched on January 20, 2026. It helps elderly people and laborers whose fingerprints may have faded. The app matches a live photo with NADRA records to confirm identity.
To transfer a vehicle, the buyer first pays the fee on the e-Pay Punjab app and gets a transaction ID. Then both parties log in to the Pak-ID app, choose “Vehicle Verification,” and complete biometrics. The system updates Excise records instantly.
Biometric verification is free, but transfer fees apply. For example, a 1000cc car costs Rs. 3,025, while cars up to 1800cc cost Rs. 6,050. Users are advised to update the Pak-ID app to the latest version.
