Bhati Gate Incident: Medical Examination Ordered for Victim’s Husband

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has expressed deep anger over the reported violence against Ghulam Murtaza, the husband of Sadia—a woman who tragically died after falling into a manhole at Bhati Gate.

Following this development, authorities have decided to conduct a medical examination of Ghulam Murtaza to determine the extent of his injuries. The examination will be held at a local hospital in Shorkot under police supervision.

According to police sources, a case is likely to be registered against the officers involved once the medical report is finalized. Ghulam Murtaza has accused the SP City and the SHO of physical assault, alleging that the officers pressured him to confess to killing his wife.
