Punjab car driving license fee for 3-year validity – February 2026

LAHORE: The Punjab Traffic Police has stepped up efforts to issue driving licenses under its campaign to enforce traffic laws across the province.

Officials reported that in January 2026 alone, over 1.24 million driving licenses were issued. This includes:

• 440,000 learning licenses

• 400,000 regular driving licenses

• 390,000 renewals for learning, regular, and international licenses

In addition, more than 2,500 citizens applied for replacements of lost licenses, and over 4,500 international driving permits were issued.

DIG Traffic Punjab, Muhammad Waqas Nazir, stressed the importance of holding a valid driving license, warning that driving without one is a criminal offense and can lead to heavy fines and strict legal actions. He also highlighted that e-driving licenses have the same legal status as physical cards, making the process easier for citizens.

Driving License Fees – February 2026

• One-year car license: Total Rs1,980 (Rs150 test fee + Rs1,350 license fee + Rs480 courier fee)

• Three-year license: Total Rs4,680

Residents of Punjab can download their e-driving license from the official website: http://dlims.punjab.gov.pk.

1. Go to the homepage and select the e-license option

2. Enter your CNIC number and date of birth

3. Click Download to get a PDF copy of your driving license

This digital service allows citizens to carry their driving license on mobile phones, making it convenient and accessible.
