ICC Deputy Chairman Imran Khwaja Arrives in Lahore for Key Meetings

Amir Mir, the PCB Chairman’s advisor, greeted ICC Deputy Chairman Imran Khwaja upon his arrival in Lahore.

Khawaja is expected to meet with PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi during his visit to go over important issues pertaining to the current T20 World Cup.

On the other hand, in the ICC T20 World Cup, New Zealand beat Afghanistan by five wickets. Afghanistan scored 182/6 in their 20 overs, highlighted by Gulbadin Naib’s outstanding 63 runs off 35 balls.

New Zealand chased down the target, reaching the mark for the loss of five wickets in 17.5 overs. Tim Seifert led the way with 65, a knock that also saw him complete 2,000 runs in T20 Internationals. Other key contributions came from Glenn Phillips with 42 and Mark Chapman with 28, while Daryl Mitchell (25*) and Mitchell Santner (17*) remained not out to seal the victory.
