08 February, 2026 19:10

Pakistan has officially decided to participate in the inaugural meeting of the Gaza Board of Peace, according to reports.

The session is scheduled for February 19 and will be chaired by US President Donald Trump. Pakistan will be represented either by the Prime Minister or the Deputy Prime Minister, attending on the country’s behalf.

According to sources, the meeting will focus on the evolving situation in Gaza, with participants expected to discuss measures aimed at promoting peace and stability in the region. Discussions will also explore future strategies and a potential framework for addressing humanitarian, political, and security challenges linked to the ongoing crisis.

Pakistan’s formal decision to join highlights its engagement in international diplomatic efforts and underscores its intention to contribute its perspective on the situation in Gaza. Officials believe the participation will allow Pakistan to take part in dialogue on coordinated global responses to the crisis.

While the full agenda and list of participating delegations have not been released, the gathering is being viewed as a key platform for conflict resolution discussions and long-term regional stability. Further announcements regarding Pakistan’s representation and outcomes from the meeting are expected closer to the event.

Axios reported on February 7, 2026, that the White House is planning the first leaders meeting for President Donald Trump’s “Board of Peace” on Gaza, scheduled for February 19. The event is expected to include a fundraising conference for Gaza reconstruction and is planned to be held at the U.S. Institute of Peace in Washington. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is also scheduled to meet President Trump at the White House on February 18, a day before the planned gathering.

Requests for comment from the White House and the U.S. State Department were not immediately answered.
