US Issues Security Advisory for Pakistan After Islamabad Suicide Attack
ISLAMABAD A new security advisory for Pakistan has been released by the US State Department, warning Americans visiting the nation to be extremely cautious. The warning follows a suicide attack in Tarlai Kalan, Islamabad.
American individuals are being urged to check their personal security preparations, stay alert, and stay away from public gatherings. Additionally, the State Department advised tourists to follow local media outlets for situational updates.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has implicated the outlawed ISIS in the nation-shocking bomb in Islamabad. Naqvi revealed during a news conference that the attack’s mastermind is in prison and that other facilitators have been arrested by the authorities. According to reports, one official was martyred as a result of security operations in Peshawar and Nowshera.
According to Naqvi, who claimed that India has been supporting terrorism more recently, the attackers received training in Afghanistan, and the operation was paid for by outside sources. He also urged the public to work with law enforcement and intelligence organizations, saying, “Pakistan is fully prepared to prevent such incidents.”
The Interior Minister also emphasized Islamabad’s security issues, pointing out that there are 93 ports of entrance into the capital and that the majority of police officers in the Red Zone are over 50. He threatened to take action against social media companies that host accounts linked to terrorist operations.
Although terrorist groups systematically operate from the other side of the border, Pakistan has so far been able to stop 99 planned attacks, according to Naqvi. He emphasized that security efforts will continue to be vigorous and declared, “Those who plot against Pakistan will be dealt with at every possible level.”
