Big Relief for Government Employees: New Housing Policy Approved for Grades 1 to 22

Islamabad – February 12, 2026: The Ministry of Housing and Works has announced a major reform to make the process of hiring government accommodations easier and more transparent for all employees and officers.

According to an official statement, the ministry has approved a new decentralization policy that will allow departments and divisions to manage accommodation for their staff directly within their allocated budgets. A formal office memorandum (OM) was issued by Joint Secretary Fayyaz-ul-Haq to ensure smooth implementation across all ministries and divisions.
