Imran Khan to Be Moved After Jail Construction Completed

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has announced that once the Islamabad jail is completed, PTI founder Imran Khan will be transferred there.

Speaking to the media in Islamabad, the Interior Minister stated that construction of the Islamabad Jail will be finished within two months. He noted that all necessary medical facilities are available within the prison and explained that since the PTI founder was sentenced by an Islamabad court, he will be moved to the local facility.

It should be noted that PTI leaders have expressed concerns regarding the health of their chairman, alleging negligence by former Adiala Jail Superintendent Abdul Ghafoor Anjum.

In response, Advisor to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah stated that the PTI founder will be permitted to have his eyes examined by any doctor of his choice. He dismissed claims of “four months of negligence,” asserting that such allegations are unfounded and that politics should not be played over a person’s health.
