Ramadan Relief Package 2026: KP Govt to Give Rs 12,500 to Over 1 Million Families

Court Issues Arrest Warrant for KP Chief Minister Sohail Afridi
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has approved a new Ramadan Relief Package to support low-income families during the holy month.
The decision was taken during the 47th meeting of the provincial cabinet, held on the directives of Muhammad Sohail Afridi, Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Rs 12,500 Cash Support Per Family
Under the approved plan, 1.063 million families across the province will receive cash assistance of Rs 12,500 per family during Ramadan.
Officials said the amount will be provided directly to deserving households to help them manage rising living costs during the fasting month.
Increase Due to Inflation
Speaking after the cabinet meeting, the provincial spokesperson for Economy and Finance said the relief amount has been increased due to high inflation.
He explained that in Ramadan 2024, the provincial government had provided Rs 10,000 per family for the first time.
This year, the amount has been raised by 25 percent after a sharp rise in prices of basic items, especially sugar and wheat flour.
Support for Vulnerable Families
The spokesperson said the Ramadan Relief Package reflects the government’s commitment to protect poor and vulnerable families.
He added that the goal is to reduce the financial burden on households and ensure dignity and relief during the holy month.
