Hanif Abbasi: Any Deal Requires Mutual Consent

Rawalpindi: Railways Minister Hanif Abbasi stated that mutual consent is necessary for any deal; if both sides agree, a deal will be reached. Speaking to the media at the inauguration of a patient convenience center at Benazir Bhutto Hospital, the minister remarked that the desire to gain power through the events of May 9 is misguided.

When questioned about a potential deal with Imran Khan, Abbasi reiterated that such an agreement requires bilateral consent. Regarding prisoner rights, he noted that every inmate, including PTI founder Imran Khan, has the right to receive medical treatment.

However, he contrasted this with his own experience, stating that while he was in jail, his repeated requests for a personal physician were ignored, and he was even denied meetings with his children prior to receiving treatment.
