3 Police Officers Martyred as Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Forces Neutralize Terrorists

In a major counter-terrorism operation, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police, Elite Force, and the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) successfully eliminated three terrorists in the mountainous region of Kabalgram, security sources said.

The operation targeted highly wanted militants, including Noor Islam, the leader of the militant group Fitna Al-Khawarij. Noor Islam had a reward of PKR 5 million on his head, according to officials.

One of the terrorists reportedly blew himself up to avoid capture, security sources added. During the intense encounter, a heavy exchange of fire took place.

Tragically, three police officers were martyred during the operation. The slain officers have been identified as Maqbool Ahmed, Fida Hussain, and Saeed Ur Rehman.

Defense experts noted that the presence of these terrorists in Kabalgram confirms that they were planning a major terrorist attack.

Experts also highlighted that this targeted operation is a significant achievement in counter-terrorism efforts. It effectively weakened the organized network of Fitna Al-Khawarij.

The terrorist group had previously been involved in attacks targeting Chinese nationals in the region, defense sources confirmed.

The sacrifice of the martyred officers is seen as a shining example of protecting national security and demonstrates the state’s unwavering resolve against terrorism.
