Most parts of Pakistan are expected to experience dry weather on Sunday, with daytime temperatures likely to remain above normal, while northern regions will see cold conditions during mornings and nights, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) reported.
According to PMD, Islamabad and surrounding areas will remain dry throughout the day, although mornings and nights will continue to be chilly. In Punjab, most districts are forecast to experience dry conditions, with light to moderate fog developing in northeastern districts during the morning hours. Hill stations such as Murree and the Galiyat region will also remain dry, with cold temperatures expected during early and late hours, while central and southern districts are likely to experience above-normal daytime temperatures.
Meanwhile, Lahore continues to face severe air pollution, topping the list of the world’s most polluted cities. The overall Air Quality Index (AQI) in Lahore was recorded at 394, raising significant health concerns for children, the elderly, and those with respiratory conditions.
In Sindh, dry weather is expected across most districts, though strong winds during the afternoon may provide slight relief in some areas. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will also see dry conditions in most districts, with upper areas remaining cold during morning and night hours, while daytime temperatures are predicted to stay above normal.
Most districts of Balochistan are expected to remain dry, with northern parts experiencing cold mornings and evenings. In Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, the weather will remain cold and dry, with extreme cold expected in some areas during morning and night, though daytime temperatures are forecast above normal.
Authorities have advised citizens to take precautionary measures against cold conditions in northern regions and limit outdoor activities in areas experiencing hazardous air pollution, particularly in Lahore.
