Meteorology Department Predicts Eid-ul-Fitr Moon 2026

The Meteorology Department has made a prediction regarding the Eid-ul-Fitr moon.

According to the department, the moon of Shawwal 1447 Hijri will be born on March 19, 2026, at 6:23 AM. However, by sunset, the moon’s age at most meteorological stations will be approximately 12 to 13 hours, which is considered “not suitable for sighting.”

Astronomical analysis indicates that there is “no possibility of seeing the moon on March 19.”

The Meteorology Department emphasized that the official announcement regarding the Eid-ul-Fitr moon sighting will be made in consultation with the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.
