Pakistan Urges Peace Talks on Russia-Ukraine Conflict at UN

Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, addressed the UN Security Council, emphasizing that there is no military solution to the Russia-Ukraine war.

He reiterated that Pakistan has consistently advocated for negotiations and diplomacy to resolve the conflict.

Ambassador Iftikhar further noted that a sustainable resolution must account for the territorial integrity and security concerns of all parties involved.

He concluded by calling for a peaceful settlement in strict accordance with the principles of the UN Charter.
