Security forces kill 34 militants in KP, Balochistan operations
Security forces have killed 34 militants during a series of high-tempo, intelligence-based operations carried out over the past several days as part of an ongoing counterterrorism campaign, said ISPR. According to ISPR, 26 militants were killed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while 8 were eliminated in Balochistan.
In Balochistan, an operation was conducted in the Sambaza area of Zhob, where eight militants were killed. In North Waziristan’s Hassan Khel area, one militant was killed during an intelligence-based operation. ISPR said that the killed militant was an Afghan national.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 26 militants were killed in four separate encounters with security forces. Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the dead militants.
ISPR stated that security forces remain determined and committed to defending the country’s borders. It added that clearance operations are ongoing to eliminate any other Indian-backed militants in the area.
