Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi appeals for peaceful protests

After the reported martyrdom of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has asked people to keep their protests peaceful.

He said today is a very sad day for the Muslim world, including both Iran and Pakistan. He added that Pakistanis are mourning just like the people of Iran.

Minister Naqvi called Ayatollah Khamenei a martyr and said every Pakistani shares the sorrow of every Iranian today.

He ended his appeal by asking citizens to show restraint and follow the law while protesting. He urged everyone to record their protests in a peaceful and safe way.
