Senior religious scholars meet Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi

In view of recent events in Iran, senior religious scholars from the Shia school of thought have arrived in Islamabad to meet Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, according to sources.

The group of scholars includes Allama Mutahir, Allama Arif Wahidi, Syed Wazir Kazmi, Syed Ahmed Naqvi, and Imran Ali Haideri, sources said.

Other members of the delegation include Syed Basharat Hussain Imami, Wajihul Hasan Kazmi, Abid Hussain, Amjad Alvi, and Syed Zahid Abbas Kazmi, sources added.

During the meeting, the discussion will focus on the country’s situation, sectarian harmony, and the promotion of unity among the Muslim community, sources said.

Officials noted that in the current situation, the role of religious scholars in fostering brotherhood, solidarity, and Muslim unity is extremely important.
