The District Administration of Khairpur has announced a local holiday on March 4, 2026, to mark the annual Urs of Hazrat Sachal Sarmast.
According to an official notification, all government and semi-government offices in the district will remain closed on that day. The Urs celebrations, which mark the 205th anniversary of the great Sufi saint, will begin on the 14th of Ramadan.
In a separate announcement, the Government of Sindh has declared two public holidays for Hindu employees on the occasion of Holi. Hindu workers across Sindh will get holidays on March 3 and 4, 2026.
These holidays have been announced to respect both religious and cultural events in the province. The move reflects Sindh’s commitment to honoring diversity and allowing people to celebrate their important occasions peacefully.
