Safe Repatriation of Pakistani Students from Iran Continues After Attacks

In the aftermath of recent attacks in Iran, the Government of Pakistan, in coordination with the Pakistan Armed Forces, has successfully facilitated the safe return of hundreds of Pakistani students and citizens. The repatriation process, conducted through the Tftan border crossing, has brought a total of 183 students back to Pakistan between March 1 and 2.

On March 2, 62 students, including 42 males and 20 females, were safely transported to Quetta. On the same day, an additional 121 students arrived, consisting of 41 males and 80 females.

Among the returning students, the majority hail from Punjab (132), followed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (22), Sindh (15), Gilgit-Baltistan (10), Azad Kashmir (3), and one student from Balochistan.

These students had been pursuing their studies at Tehran Medical College, Isfahan Medical College, Zanjan Medical College, and Yazd Medical College. The Pakistani authorities emphasized that the repatriation operation prioritized safety and efficiency to ensure all students returned without incident.

A government spokesperson stated, “The safe return of Pakistani students and citizens from Iran is a top priority, and the process will continue until all students are brought back home.”
