SSGC Revises Ramadan Gas Supply Schedule Amid LNG Import Disruption

05 March, 2026 19:52

Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has announced adjustments to the gas supply schedule for Ramadan following disruptions in LNG imports due to ongoing tensions in the Middle East.

Reports indicate that the company will return to last year’s Ramadan timetable. Gas supply for Iftar will be available from 3:00 pm to 9:30 pm, while for Sehri it will run from 3:00 am to 9:00 am.

Officials stated that the revised schedule will be formally announced soon.

Karachi is currently facing a severe gas shortage as LNG imports from Qatar have been affected, reportedly linked to tensions between the United States and Iran.

Several areas of the city, including Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Scheme 33, Jamshed Road, Shadman Town, Nishtar Road, Martin Quarters, Jahangir Road, Amil Colony, Lasbela, and parts of Korangi, are experiencing extended gas load shedding for the second consecutive day.

This comes despite government plans to provide uninterrupted gas supply from 3:00 am to 10:00 pm during Ramadan.
