15 Indian-Backed Militants Killed in Security Operations in Balochistan

Security forces kill 34 militants in KP, Balochistan operations
Security forces of Pakistan killed 15 militants linked to Indian proxies during two separate intelligence-based operations in Balochistan, officials said. The operations took place in Harnai District and Basima after reports about the presence of armed militants in the areas.
Authorities said the militants were linked with groups described as Fitna al Khwarij and Fitna al Hindustan, which Pakistan says are supported by hostile foreign elements.
12 Militants Killed in Harnai Operation
According to security officials, the first intelligence-based operation (IBO) was conducted in Harnai district after receiving credible information about the presence of militants belonging to Fitna al Khwarij.
During the operation, Pakistani troops surrounded a militant hideout and launched an assault.
Officials said the militants resisted and a heavy exchange of fire followed. After a fierce battle, 12 militants were killed by security forces.
The hideout was cleared during the operation and weapons and other equipment were recovered from the site.
3 Militants Eliminated in Basima
In another intelligence-based operation in Basima district, security forces tracked the presence of militants linked with Fitna al Hindustan.
Troops engaged the militants using different calibre weapons, officials said.
After an intense gun battle, three militants were killed during the exchange of fire.
Security sources confirmed that the militants were involved in several terrorist activities in the region.
Weapons and Explosives Recovered
Security officials said that weapons, ammunition, and explosives were recovered from the militants killed in both operations.
These materials were believed to be intended for future attacks in the region.
Officials added that the militants had been active in planning and carrying out terrorist attacks against security forces and civilians.
Search Operations Continue
Security forces have launched sanitization operations in the surrounding areas to make sure no other militants remain hidden.
Officials said the operations are part of Pakistan’s wider counter-terrorism campaign under the vision Azm-e-Istehkam, which was approved by the federal apex committee under the National Action Plan.
Authorities said the campaign will continue with full determination to eliminate foreign-sponsored terrorism from Pakistan.
