Pezeshkian Says Country Committed to Lasting Peace

Iran’s president, Masoud Pezeshkian, stated on Friday that his country is still fully dedicated to establishing long-lasting peace in the area while unwaveringly protecting its authority and dignity.

Pezeshkian addressed recent attempts at mediation by some nations despite ongoing regional developments in a message shared on the social media platform X. A few nations have started their mediation attempts. Our message to them is unambiguous: we are dedicated to establishing enduring peace in the area, but we have no reservations about upholding the dignity and power of our nation. He added, “Those who underestimate the Iranian people and ignite the region are the rightful recipients of mediation efforts.”

Pezeshkian stressed that Iran would continue to use power and determination to protect its national prestige.

The president’s remarks coincide with a number of countries that have lately suggested or started diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions in the Middle East.
