National Paigham-e-Aman Committee Calls for Unity, Peace, and Religious Solidarity Across Muslim States

The National Paigham-e-Aman Committee, a prominent body focused on promoting peace and unity among Muslim communities, recently emphasized the importance of fostering Wahdat-o-Ittihad (unity and harmony) across sects and Muslim states. A key highlight of the committee’s message was the promotion of closer ties between Pakistan and Iran, reinforcing their shared commitment to peace and solidarity.

In light of the ongoing Israeli aggression in Palestine, the committee strongly condemned the violence and expressed grave concern over the situation at Masjid Al-Aqsa. The committee called for the protection of Al-Aqsa and other holy sites, asserting that safeguarding these sacred locations is not just a political issue, but a religious obligation for all Muslims.

Unity among different Islamic schools of thought was also a major theme, with Ulema from all maktab-e-fikr reaffirming their commitment to harmony and rejecting any attempts to incite sectarian discord. The committee highlighted the role of social media-driven sectarian fitna (discord) and called for stricter action from the Ministry of Interior to curb such activities.

In a pointed remark, the committee condemned Israel’s efforts to divide the Muslim Ummah and underscored the need for greater unity among Muslim nations. The responsible roles of both Ulemas and the state were emphasized, urging them to work together to safeguard the interests of Muslims worldwide.

Additionally, Pakistan’s status as a nuclear Muslim state and its importance within the global Ummah was highlighted. The committee reiterated the significance of Pakistan–Iran solidarity in ensuring the stability and peace of the region.

As a gesture of solidarity with Palestine, the committee announced a nationwide Ijtimah under the themes of Youm-e-Tahafuz-e-Harmain Sharifain, Youm-ul-Quds, and Youm-ul-Aqsa. The event aims to raise awareness and show support for Palestine, Al-Aqsa, and the broader Muslim cause.
