Attaullah Tarar condemns cross-border attack in Bajaur district

Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar issued a statement on X condemning the Afghan Taliban government for attacks on innocent civilians in Bajaur. Minister Tarar stated that the Afghan Taliban government targeted the civilian population from across the border, specifically striking the Tabasta Letai area of Salarzai tehsil in the Bajaur district. According to the minister, four innocent civilians were martyred and a five-year-old child was seriously injured when a shell fell on a house during the attack.

The four martyred victims were identified as brothers: Sajid, Ayaz, Riyaz, and Moaz. Minister Tarar noted that local residents have expressed deep grief and anger over this move by the Afghan Taliban government, emphasizing that the deliberate targeting of civilians is a clear violation of international law. He further asserted that targeting the civilian population reflects the setbacks the Afghan Taliban are currently facing. Minister Tarar concluded by stating that a strong response is being delivered to those responsible for this heinous act.
