The Prime Minister has assigned a key task to the Intelligence Bureau (IB) to monitor fuel saving and cost-efficiency measures across federal ministries and institutions.
According to an official notification, the IB will audit fuel-saving and efficiency initiatives and submit weekly reports to the Prime Minister on the progress of these measures.
The task also includes monitoring and reviewing steps taken to address the fuel shortage in the country. The IB will verify the implementation of fuel-saving policies, vehicle restrictions, and the four-day workweek where applicable.
Based on the situation, the IB is also expected to suggest further measures to improve fuel efficiency and reduce wastage.
Authorities have been warned that non-compliance by federal ministries and institutions with these directives will result in action. Officials who use vehicles from subordinate organizations without approval will also face disciplinary measures.
