Trump Creates Anti-Fraud Task Force Led by VP JD Vance

17 March, 2026 06:29

In a decisive address to the media at the White House, President Donald Trump unveiled several major domestic and international initiatives while delivering sharp criticisms of political rivals and foreign allies. Central to his domestic agenda, the President announced the signing of an executive order to establish an Anti-Fraud Task Force, which will be led by Vice President JD Vance.

This task force is part of a broader crackdown on what Trump described as a legacy of fraud from the previous administration. He specifically targeted Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, alleging she is in the United States illegally, and accused the New York Attorney General of deep-seated corruption. He also leveled serious accusations against the Somali community in Minnesota, linking them to widespread corruption and fraud, while contrasting these issues with his own administration’s success in reducing drug prices by 80% for the American public.

Shifting his focus to international security, President Trump provided a stark assessment of the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. He asserted that Iran’s leadership, navy, and air force have been completely destroyed, claiming there is now nothing left of the war. Despite this, he maintained a firm stance on nuclear proliferation, warning that violent regimes must never possess nuclear weapons. He stated that if Iran were to obtain a nuclear bomb, it would undoubtedly be used against the United States, Israel, and the wider Middle East within an hour. He characterized the Iranian regime as one that seeks to lead the region through total destruction and claimed that there is currently no leadership in Iran capable of participating in meaningful negotiations.

The President also expressed deep disappointment in the United States’ traditional allies, particularly NATO and the United Kingdom. He argued that the U.S. has spent billions of dollars to defend NATO, yet the alliance was absent when American support was most needed. Similarly, he criticized British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, noting that the Prime Minister’s offer to send fighter jets came only after the war had already been won. Trump revealed that he told the Prime Minister his warplanes were no longer necessary. Concluding his remarks, the President emphasized the global importance of the Strait of Hormuz, noting that some countries depend on it for 95% of their energy needs. He called on these nations to take greater responsibility for the waterway’s security, reiterating that the U.S. has proven its commitment to the world by doing the heavy lifting without prioritizing its own interests.
