Sharjeel Inam Memon Expresses Grief Over Moach Goth Wall Collapse

Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has expressed deep sorrow and regret over the tragic incident in Moach Goth, where a wall collapse has claimed 13 lives. Rescue and relief agencies are currently at the scene and remain fully engaged in emergency activities.

To address the broader impact of the recent weather, emergency measures have been initiated to improve sanitation and drainage systems across the city. The relevant administration, including the mayor and deputy mayor, is personally monitoring the situation on the streets. These efforts follow prior instructions issued to all staff to remain alert in anticipation of the rains, a directive further reinforced by Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah.

Special teams and trucks have been deployed to various areas to ensure the cleaning of drains, the timely transfer of garbage, and the effective drainage of standing water. However, the minister noted that some areas are facing power outages due to fallen trees and electricity poles, which is complicating relief efforts. Despite these challenges, all relevant agencies are making every effort to normalize the situation as quickly as possible.
