Major cities, including Islamabad, are expected to experience dry conditions with partly cloudy skies. Similar weather is predicted across most districts of Punjab, Sindh, and the rest of Balochistan. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will likely see partly cloudy conditions, while Azad Kashmir may receive rain and thunderstorms during the morning hours. Gilgit-Baltistan is expected to remain dry with partly cloudy skies.
The PMD reported rainfall accompanied by gusty winds and thunderstorms in northern Balochistan, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Kashmir over the past 24 hours. Cherat recorded the highest rainfall at 33mm, followed by Parachinar with 25mm, Malam Jabba with 11mm, and Peshawar with up to 8mm.
In Punjab, Chakwal led with 16mm, Joharabad received 14mm, and Layyah recorded 8mm. Islamabad areas, including Zero Point and Saidpur, also received light showers. Balochistan’s coastal and northern districts recorded notable rainfall, with Ormara at 19mm and Barkhan 17mm. In Azad Kashmir, Kotli and Muzaffarabad experienced moderate rainfall.
Southern regions saw warmer temperatures, with Mithi reaching 37°C and Shaheed Benazirabad 36°C. Karachi recorded temperatures between 24°C and 33°C. Lahore and Islamabad reached highs of 30°C and 27°C, respectively. Cooler conditions prevailed in northern areas, with Murree experiencing temperatures from 4°C to 14°C.
The PMD advises residents, particularly in western Balochistan, to remain cautious as localized thunderstorms and gusty winds may affect travel and outdoor activities. Weather conditions elsewhere are expected to remain stable, with no major disruptions forecast for key urban centers. Daily weather updates are recommended for effective planning amid changing conditions.
