PM Shehbaz, President Masoud Pezeshkian Discuss Regional Peace

In a significant diplomatic move, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a telephonic conversation with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian. The discussion, which lasted for more than an hour, focused on the escalating tensions in the region and ongoing efforts to maintain peace.

During the call, the Prime Minister condemned recent military strikes on Iran, particularly those targeting civilian infrastructure, and expressed full solidarity and support for the Iranian people. He conveyed deep sorrow over the loss of precious lives resulting from these attacks.

Prime Minister Sharif also briefed President Pezeshkian on Pakistan’s diplomatic engagements with the United States and Gulf nations. He emphasized that collective regional efforts remain the most effective way to de-escalate current tensions.

President Pezeshkian expressed his appreciation for the prime minister’s sincere diplomatic initiatives and lauded Pakistan’s positive role in the region. Prime Minister Sharif reaffirmed that Pakistan will continue to play a constructive role in ensuring regional peace and stability.
