Viral Video of Doctors Racing in Surgery Prompts Action at Lahore Hospital
A hospital operating theatre is made-up to be the last place for “speed games”. But Lahore’s viral C-section clip has triggered exactly that fear — and the internet is asking a chilling question: were lives being treated like a race?
This disturbing video has gone viral showing doctors competing with each other during women’s surgeries not just breached the privacy of the female patients but also violated medical ethics.
Two female Pakistani doctors, Dr. Ayesha and Dr. Tayyaba, who were aiding at a hospital in Lahore, were found betting on ongoing C-sections, saying, “Let’s see which of the two will complete the C-section first.”
In addition, they even had a referee who was observing the side-by-side procedures. The doctors and staff members also made victory signs while the procedures were underway.

As per reports, the incident took place at Lady Wellington Hospital in Lahore, the two surgeries under way were Caesarean sections, and the doctors were allegedly engaged in a competition over who would complete the operation first. Voices heard in the clip can also reportedly be interpreted as supporting the claim.
After a disturbing video of their disreputable actions went viral, Dr Tayyaba Fatima Toor, Dr Maham Ameen, Dr Zainab Tahir, and Dr Ayesha Afzal face serious disciplinary legal actions.
The health department stated that these actions constitute a grave violation of medical ethics and an insult to dignity.
Such unprofessional conduct is strictly prohibited under government rules and the standard operating procedures of the medical facility itself.
Several popular doctors influencers, who have been responsibly doing digital creation as health care providers, have also spoken out against the unprofessional and unethical behaviour of such doctors. DR Affan Qaiser, Dr Javed Iqbal and Dr Bisma have slammed female doctors crime. Dr Javed said, ‘It is strictly prohibited and unethical as doctors to breach patient’s privacy or to indulge into such activities like betting in operation theatre, but most importantly, a surgeon should keep one thing in mind that he doesn’t need to be speedy but competent’. Dr Affan Qaiser said, ‘The environment at operation theatre is always comfortable, friendly and professional but not the one we saw in that specific video’.
