Karachi faces traffic jams after streets flooded by heavy rain
Karachi is facing severe waterlogging after recent rainfall, causing difficulties for residents and commuters. Water has collected on major roads and inner streets across the city.
Some of the affected areas include Five Star, Hyderi, Peoples Chowrangi, and North Nazimabad, where streets have flooded. Near Abdullah College, rainwater even entered homes.
Many vehicles, including motorcycles and cars, got stuck in water on several roads. At Korangi Crossing, roads turned into ponds, while Qayyumabad Chowrangi saw traffic disruptions due to water accumulation.
On Shahrah-e-Faisal, waterlogging was reported near Nursery, FTC, Carsaz, and Furniture Market in addition to Baloch Colony and Metropole, affecting both vehicles and motorcycles.
Commuters are facing long delays, and authorities are working to manage traffic and drainage issues caused by the heavy rain.
