07 April, 2026 18:04

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Nishan-e-Imtiaz (Military), Hilal-e-Jurat, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, presided over the 274th Corps Commanders’ Conference.

The forum offered Fateha for the armed forces, law enforcement personnel, and innocent citizens who sacrificed their lives in defense of the motherland.

While paying tribute to the unparalleled sacrifices of the martyrs, the forum reiterated that the immortal sacrifices of the martyrs are the foundation of Pakistan’s security.

The Army Chief and Chief of Defence Forces appreciated the unwavering professionalism, operational efficiency, and steadfastness of Pakistan’s armed forces in conducting intelligence-based counter-terrorism operations for the defense of the homeland.

Field Marshal Munir stated that, through mutual cooperation and coordination between the government, armed forces, and the people, Pakistan is on a path to further consolidate its security achievements, strengthen economic stability, and improve its regional and global standing.

The forum emphasized that all terrorist proxy elements, including their facilitators and supporters working at the behest of India and other external patrons, will be eliminated through sustained and indiscriminate action.

Participants noted that the momentum of Operation Ghadb-e-Lil-Haq will be maintained until terrorist safe havens are completely eradicated and the use of Afghan soil against Pakistan is decisively ended.

The forum appreciated the government’s efforts to end the conflict in the Middle East and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to inclusive dialogue, de-escalation, and principled diplomacy.

As a responsible stakeholder, Pakistan continues to play the role of an active regional security stabilizer, the forum stated.

The Corps Commanders’ Conference strongly condemned and expressed concern over the recent attacks on Saudi Arabia’s petrochemical and industrial complexes, calling them an unnecessary escalation.

The forum noted that such attacks undermine sincere efforts to resolve conflicts through peaceful means. It also acknowledged Saudi Arabia’s restraint despite serious provocations, stating that this approach has helped create space for mediation and diplomatic solutions.

The forum warned that such unprovoked aggression negatively impacts ongoing peace efforts and the overall environment for dialogue.

It categorically rejected what it described as continuous misinformation, baseless allegations, and false flag operations attributed to India, stating that such tactics have been exposed globally.

The forum also expressed concern over continued human rights violations, extrajudicial killings, and alleged fake encounters in Jammu and Kashmir.

At the conclusion of the conference, the Army Chief directed commanders to maintain high standards of operational readiness, discipline, training, physical fitness, innovation, and professionalism.

He expressed full confidence in the armed forces’ ability to counter all types of threats and ensure Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
