Field Marshal Asim Munir departs for official visit to Iran

Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has left for an official visit to Iran.

According to security sources, Field Marshal Asim Munir will meet important senior Iranian officials during his visit.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi is already in Tehran.

During his visit, Mohsin Naqvi met Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and discussed efforts to reduce regional tensions and possible steps to help end conflict between the United States and Iran.

News agencies reported that both sides also discussed draft proposals aimed at ending the Iran–US conflict and explored possible ways to promote peace in the region.

Iranian media said the discussions included different approaches for maintaining stability and peace.

Diplomatic sources said Mohsin Naqvi will continue his stay in Tehran today and will hold further important meetings related to Iran–US talks.
