Pakistan Emerges as Key Diplomatic Partner for US, Says Report

A recent analysis by Vox highlights a major development in Pakistan–United States relations, describing Pakistan as an unexpected but important partner for the Trump administration.

According to the report, Pakistan has emerged as a key diplomatic mediator in the US–Iran conflict. It states that Islamabad played a central role in ceasefire efforts and in facilitating dialogue between the two sides.

The analysis claims that Field Marshal Asim Munir and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif led Pakistan’s diplomatic engagement during the process. It also notes that Pakistan hosted high-level talks between the United States and Iran, which were described as the most significant since 1979.

Vox reports that both Washington and Tehran now view Pakistan as a trusted intermediary and communication channel. It also mentions that former US President Donald Trump publicly appreciated Pakistan’s diplomatic role.
