Karachi Heatwave Intensifies as Temperature May Hit 43°C

Karachi still faces intense heat as a powerful heatwave in the city. According to the Meteorological Department hat temperatures could go as high as 43°C today, making the weather very severe.

As per official reports, this heat spell will last until June 12. According to them, humidity is adding to the heat, making it feel more severe.

Karachi is recording a temperature of nearly 31°C, while humidity stands at 70 percent at the meantime, due to high humidity and heat. The heat feels stronger than the recorded temperature.

At roughly 15 kilometers per hour, the wind in coming from the west, though it is not enough to ease the heat.

Officials advised citizens to remain careful and take safety actions throughout this time. They recommended that defenseless group of people such as children, women, and the elderly should stay at home during ultimate heat hours, and commend that people stay hydrated, wear light clothing, and avoid heat by staying in cool areas when possible.

Officials also cautioned that extreme sun contact can affect in heat-related illnesses, such as dehydration and heatstroke. People are fortified to remain cautious and safe until the heatwave ends after June 12.
