Lahore ATC sentences four PTI leaders to 10 years in May 9 case, Shah Mahmood acquitted

LAHORE: An anti-terrorism court in Lahore has announced its verdict in another May 9 case related to the burning of police vehicles.

The decision was issued by Judge Manzar Ali Gul of the Anti-Terrorism Court during proceedings held at Kot Lakhpat Jail.

The court sentenced PTI leaders Mahmood-ur-Rasheed, Omar Cheema, Ejaz Chaudhry, and Dr Yasmin Rashid to 10 years in prison each.

At the same time, the court acquitted senior PTI leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi in the case.

The case was related to the May 9 incidents involving the burning of police vehicles. The court had reserved its verdict earlier before announcing the decision on Saturday.
