2.9-Magnitude Earthquake Jolts Parts of Karachi

A mild earthquake measuring 2.9 on the Richter scale was felt in parts of Karachi on Friday evening, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

The earthquake was recorded at 6pm Pakistan Standard Time (PST) at a depth of 10 kilometres. The epicentre was located in Karachi at latitude 24.80°N and longitude 67.01°E.

The low-intensity earthquake caused no immediate reports of casualties or property damage.
