Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Residents Voice Support for More Administrative Provinces

Residents in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have expressed support for the creation of additional provinces on administrative grounds, saying that increasing the number of administrative units has become essential for improving governance and making Pakistan a more efficient state.
Citizens described the government’s reported consideration of creating new administrative provinces as a positive step, arguing that smaller provinces could enable authorities to deliver public services, development projects, and administrative relief more effectively. They said the country’s current four-province structure makes it difficult to ensure timely access to services for people across all regions.
Several residents also suggested that creating sub-provinces or administrative units at the divisional level could reduce the burden on provincial administrations and improve representation. According to them, expanding the number of provinces would help bring government institutions closer to the public and ensure more efficient delivery of essential services.
